Mohandas/Mahatma Gandhi, lead Non-Violent Protesting Great Salt March of 1930 to demonstrate against British oppression Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist and political ethicist who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule, and to later inspire movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. As recently discovered his earlier indoctrination embodied a racist undertone that has now engendered his entire legacy.
